Two years ago we welcomed Luca. I will always remember…
22 February. This year was the most special day ever, because beside my birthday we celebrated 3 months with baby Luca. We decided to mark this event with our first weekend escape as three. We took a deep breath, packed the house and left
Yes, we packed the house because when you travel with a baby you pack a lot! We wanted to be prepared with everything so we took some extra bodies, pants, socks, too many diapers and 2 snowsuits. And of course the stroller, the carrier and toys.
Great! We cheerfully hit the road singing baby songs until Luca fell asleep. And he slept through the whole drive. He woke up when we had just 10 minutes left until Poiana Brasov. I kept him busy with the toys and he was ok.
He liked his new temporary home and slept very well through the whole night, as he does at home. He woke up in the morning happy and playful as always.
Our accommodation was in a peaceful area that wasn’t crowded at all so it was perfect for our afternoon walk. Because it snowed on Friday, I decided to take him with the carrier on Saturday. It wasn’t a sunny day anyway, so we took a short walk. Around 16.00 we went out in the world at the restaurant. We chose to go after lunch thinking that it wouldn’t be very crowded. We chose a room with less tables and we got lucky because the table next to us was empty during our stay. Luca was asleep for 1 hour and half so we had plenty of time to eat. When he woke up, he gave a small concert to let everybody know he’s there and to let us know that he wants to go. We asked for the bill and left
We woke up on Sunday to a beautiful sunny day and we were so happy with the thought of spending more time outside. Though luck! The mountain air and babies are the best match for a good long nap. Luca slept from 10.30 in the morning until 14.00. He tricked me at 12.00 when he woke up to eat but he fell asleep right after.
Finally we managed to enjoy some sun on our quiet and nearby alley. We spent a relaxing, beautiful weekend as three and I’m happy that everything was fine. I’m excited to plan our next weekend escape!
